All submitted manuscripts to the International Journal of Biological Reports (INJBIR) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality, integrity, and ethical compliance.
• Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
• Reviewer identities remain anonymous to the authors, and author identities remain anonymous to the reviewers.
• The editorial office conducts an initial screening to verify the manuscript’s scope, originality, and adherence to ethical guidelines before sending it for review.
• Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality, originality, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
• Reviewers may decline a review or declare any potential conflicts of interest to maintain impartiality.
• The average time to the first decision is approximately 4–6 weeks, but this may vary depending on article type and reviewer availability.
• Final editorial decisions — acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection — are made by the Editorial Board based on reviewers’ recommendations.
• All peer-review processes are conducted confidentially in accordance with COPE guidelines. |
