The International Journal of Biological Reports (INJBIR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and adheres strictly to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org). The journal takes all necessary measures against any form of publication malpractice.

1. Author Responsibilities
• Originality: Authors must ensure that manuscripts are original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration elsewhere.
• Proper Citation: All sources and the work of others must be appropriately cited or quoted.
• Co-author Agreement: The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and consented to its submission.
• Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research results or interpretation.
• Ethical Compliance:
  – Animal Rights: Research involving animals must be approved by an appropriate institutional ethics committee and follow internationally accepted standards.
  – Human Rights: Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant guidelines, with prior ethics approval.
  – Informed Consent: For client-owned animals or human subjects, informed consent must be obtained and explicitly stated.
• Data Transparency: Authors are encouraged to provide sufficient data to allow verification and reproducibility of the results.

2. Editor Responsibilities
• Decision Making: The Editor-in-Chief has full authority to accept, reject, or request revisions based on peer review and journal policies. Decisions must be based on evidence and evaluation, not on unverified suspicion.
• Confidentiality: Manuscript information must remain confidential and disclosed only to the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisors, and publisher.
• Unbiased Evaluation: Acceptance or rejection is based solely on originality, quality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

3. Reviewer Responsibilities
• Confidentiality: Manuscripts for review are confidential and must not be shared outside the review process.
• Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide objective, constructive comments to enhance manuscript quality.
• Conflict of Interest: Any potential conflicts affecting impartiality must be disclosed.
• Timeliness: Reviews should be completed within the assigned timeframe.

4. Plagiarism and Ethical Misconduct
• Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in rejection.
• Misconduct Reporting: Errors, citation manipulation, plagiarism, duplicate submissions, data fabrication/falsification, and financial conflicts must be reported to the Editorial Board. All reports, including anonymous ones, will be investigated thoroughly, using plagiarism detection software where appropriate.
• Post-Publication Actions: Articles with ethical issues may be rejected, corrected, or retracted. All retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern will be clearly linked to the original article.

5. Editorial Independence
Board members and staff may publish in INJBIR but are excluded from all editorial decisions concerning their own manuscripts.

6. Advertising Policy
INJBIR does not accept advertisements in any form. Editorial independence is strictly maintained, and content remains free from commercial influence.
